Children experience a range of emotions at any given one time. This is a necessary and important part of their self-development, although the process of controlling and self regulating can be challenging! The benefits of bringing the child into the present moment, and having them take responsibility for their reactions, will create a solid foundation and positive self-concept as they continue to grow.
‘Freya’s Feeling Angry’ was written to help children who may be blaming others for the way they are feeling. In this audio, Freya did not have a great day at kindergarten, blaming ‘Miss Sue’. Using Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Freya’s mother is able to challenge Freya’s thinking. The audio takes Freya from the playground all the way to a fun birthday party, where she is able to identify for herself how she would like communicate from now on.
This audio is a fantastic learning tool for parents and child educators, providing simple questions that you can ask your children to teach them accountability for their actions, from as young as three years. This gives the child confidence as they learn to self-regulate their emotions.
