Product Description

Growing up in Australia, we understand the importance of teaching our children to swim, so when our child refuses to or does not enjoy swimming lessons, this can be a challenging time for everyone involved. Sometimes when our children become fearful of an experience, they tend to focus on one part of that experience, in this case for ‘Freya’, it is the fear of deep water.

Using the concept of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), we can explore and challenge the child’s mind. Through questions, we can encourage your child to explore beyond their initial fear or focus. These are great techniques that parents, child educators, sports coaches and teachers may adopt in other situations.

A fun story where ‘Freya’ is able to go from fear to excitement, discovering all the things she loves about swimming lessons, such as her friends, her teacher, the toys on the bottom on the pool, and the wonderful things, sounds and images she imagines, while floating on her back.
