Product Description

A beautiful audio that will assist any child whose parent or caregiver works away, or in Freya’s case, in the mines. It can be very difficult for the family unit when the dynamic involves the primary caregiver away for long periods at a time. This audio is designed not only for the child but also the parent where he/ she can listen to at night, when they may feel alone and isolated from the family.

It can be hard for a child to understand the measure of time – day’s weeks and months. This audio was written utilising the concept of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), a technique that can stretch and expand a child’s mind. Through shifting the child’s focus away from the problem, you take them from sadness to happiness.

‘My Dad Works In The Mines’ takes Freya on a journey in the mines, where her Dad spends time building water pipes (so the emus can have a drink!), to what will happen when her Daddy comes home. She is most excited at the thought of their upcoming trip to the hardware store, and the funny things they will get up to. She is also left feeling loved and happy, now that she has a new magic button on her nose that she can press at anytime when she thinks of her Dad.

Parents will find this an indirect learning tool on how to communicate with their child in this situation, by modelling the questions and tonality in the audio.

Upon purchase, these audio files will download as a zipped file to your computer.
